South Surrey White Rock Minor Softball is pleased to announce the return of Duncan McLeod as Head Coach of our U17B Thunder 2009 team for the upcoming season.
Duncan is a National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) Level II trained coach with a strong background in both baseball and softball. A long-time member of SSWRMSA, Duncan has been a dedicated presence in our association, coaching across multiple levels—from House C through to the Rep B Thunder program—where he previously coached for over four seasons.
After taking a two-season sabbatical, Duncan returned in 2025 to lead the Thunder 2009 team through a hard-fought campaign at the District Championships, proudly bringing home the bronze medal following a determined and resilient team effort. Throughout his coaching career, Duncan’s teams have consistently demonstrated a high level of play, earning medals at both District and Provincial competitions.
Duncan is known for his calm, structured, and thoughtful coaching style. He is well respected by players, families, and peers for his commitment to fairness, accountability, and athlete development. His focus on building confidence and fostering teamwork creates an environment where players feel supported and challenged to grow.
We’re thrilled to welcome Duncan back to a head coaching role within the Thunder program. Please join us in congratulating him as he takes the helm of our U17B Thunder 2009 team for what promises to be a rewarding season ahead.
